Fontana, Oberwaltersdorf Austria Wedding: Michael & Rita

About a month ago, Patrick, my friend from O’graphy asked me if I could shoot another wedding with them. In my mind, I was already saying yes.. but even before I could utter the word, he showed me photos of the venue where the wedding is going to be held and I couldn’t help but gasp and I might have said a few wows too. Fontana is located about half an hour away from Vienna in a small town called Oberwaltersdorf, and to say it’s beautiful is an understatement.

The weather decided to play nice and gave us the perfect summer’s day with a beautiful sunset. It was a wonderful day. Michael and Rita made such a gorgeous couple and love was radiating through them. I couldn’t help but smile whenever I see them gaze at each other. I love watching people in love and I love this job all the more for always letting me be in the presence of love.

The day started at this pretty little chapel with lots of elaborate details.

When Rita arrived at the chapel, Michael was waiting for her and gave her her bouquet before going inside.

Then off we went to the gorgeous Fontana after the ceremony.

When the couple arrived, there was a white cloth with a big heart drawn on it that the couple had to cut out. This, I was told is an Austrian wedding tradition.

The reception details were stunning!  Roschmann did a wonderful job making the place even more beautiful.

That smile can light up a whole room. Rita is an absolutely beautiful bride.

..and the rest of the night went off without a hitch, from the toasts to their first dance as husband and wife.

An Afternoon with the kids

Yesterday, I spent the day babysitting  these 3 rascals..
The weather was a little friendlier than usual, not boiling hot and there was even a light breeze. So we went to the park and I took photos of them..

This is Keisha and Kyle, Izzy’s cousins.

I love this photo of Izzy. It’s never easy to take photos of her, so I’m always glad when I catch the right moment.

Throw it to the Fire {Music}

Throw it to the Fire was formed in Wellington in mid 2007, gaining it’s permanent line up 12 months later. Months of rehearsing has culminated in scintilating live performances on the Wellington rock scene.

Combining a range of influences into one band has made a very unique sound that covers a broad spectrum.
Soaring melodies and stage antics are provided by passionate frontman Danny Androutsos. Low end thunder on the bass by the new kid on the block – Chris O’Connor. Blazing guitar lines and towering groove is taken care of by the virtuosic six string of Gareth Bradley – sporting one heck of a high brow! It’s all kept in check by one of a kind stickman Tod ‘The Animal’ Robertson, pounding away behind his signature wall of cymbals.

These photos were taken during the recording of their much anticipated debut EP at Silverpoint Studios. Through ecstatic appeals for Fresh Pots, Pastry and Facon & Egg pies come a record bursting with the raw energy of rolling thunder, tight harmonies, resonating grooves and lasting melodies.

Wellington Now, New Zealand and the World, get ready. Throw it to the Fire!
