Tarureka Estate Wedding: Alan & Phoebe

A few days before Alan & Phoebe’s big day, I had the pleasure of getting to know them closer when I shot their engagement session in Wellington.
Like I said on my blogpost {here}, Alan and Phoebe were a vision of calmness and on their wedding day they were just the same!

They tied the knot at Tarureka Estate.. I know, I know.. I’ve said this a few times before, but that place is nothing but pretty and I absolutely love covering weddings there.
Add the tiny lovely details that Phoebe prepared for this special occasion and voila.. you get a wedding that’s an absolute feast for the eyes!

Alan and Phoebe, thank you for letting us capture these intimate moments, it was an honor to be a part of your special day. Much love.

We started the day at Parehua Martinborough Country Estate, where Phoebe and the girls were staying.

Tarureka Estate is just so beautiful! I can’t help but feel giddy every time we’re here!

These tiny bottles and wild flowers added the perfect touch to this rustic wedding!

Nikki of Peach House Productions brought these balloons for the bridal party. How awesome is she?!

St. Alban’s, Pauatahanui / Gear Homestead Wedding: Jonny & Lauren

I knew from the moment I met them that their wedding day will be epic.
They got married on Christmas Eve, which also turned out to be one of the finest days in Wellington this Summer.
The light was gorgeous, the temperature sizzling, but what made the day perfect was this couple. Jonny and Lauren just fit together to a T.
It’s the way he listens to her whenever she speaks and how she would look at him when she’s telling a story, like they’re the only people in the room.
She’s the Yin to his Yang, he’s her Romeo and everyone who knows them know how they balance each other out perfectly.

Having spent Christmases in Vienna, every step down the city would leave me in awe and spectacle at the lights and decorations of the season.
Stepping into their home took me back to this warm feeling, as every detail of their house (and as I would happily find out later their entire wedding) was a reminder of why this was the best season ever! Love and family – isn’t that what Christmas is all about?

Jonny and Lauren, thank you for a Christmas Eve to remember! I’m sure you enjoyed your fabulous honeymoon in Asia.
May these photos bring you back to your special day. Much love.

Rebecca was putting her finishing touches to Lauren’s makeup when we arrived at Lauren’s parents’ house.

Lauren’s Mum makes quilts, and these ones symbolize people who were part of the wedding. The candy canes symbolize ME!

I had the pleasure of shooting with Dianna at Jonny & Lauren’s wedding, to see photos from her perspective click {here}.

Wellington Engagement Session: Alan & Phoebe

I shot Alan and Phoebe’s engagement a week before their wedding, 3 days before Christmas and there was nothing but smiles on their faces.
There was no trace of wedding stress and watching them simply enjoy each other and escape the hustle and bustle that is Christmas was a joy.
..and capturing that calmness between them was pure bliss.

They met in Germany and are now living in Australia, but New Zealand is still home.. and there’s no better place to tie the knot than home.

Wellington Engagement Session: Samuel & Victoria

If I was to sum up this engagement session in one word, it would be, carefree.
Samuel and Victoria are just too adorable for words and I love capturing their togetherness with my camera.
There’s a certain tenderness and sweetness in the way they smile and look at each other, which shows that they belong together.

And if the afternoon I spent with them was a glimpse of how much fun their day is going to be, I know awesomeness awaits.

Tarureka Estate Wedding: Adam and Jessica

Adam and Jessica were married in one of my favorite venues, Tarureka Estate.
There’s something about this place that really gets me and makes me giddy. Every. Single. Time.
Add this lovely couple to that  and you can just imagine how excited I was to be covering this wedding.

It was a very cold Summer day, but the grey clouds helped set the tone for this gorgeous wedding.
The entire day was full of laughter, smiles and happy tears.
It was a true celebration of their love with friends and families, who came from all over the world.

Adam and Jessica, documenting your day and your love was truly an honor, so thank you for allowing us to share this special day with you.
Congratulations again and we hope these photos bring you back to that very happy day. Much love and appreciation.

I love how picturesque everything is around Tarureka and how the filtered skies gave us dreamy light!

This beautiful bridal car was hand built by Jessica’s Dad. Amazing!
