Mark and Sarah-Jayne {Wedding} – The Wellesley Boutique Hotel

I can’t help but feel giddy inside when I look at the photographs from Mark and Sarah-Jayne’s wedding. Trying to describe the excitement and joy that I felt from photographing this memorable event in my own words is almost impossible because everything was just truly wonderful.

I knew this wedding was going to be epic after having so much fun at their engagement session (which you can find here). They were married at the very picturesque Wellesley Boutique Hotel in Wellington. It was a very emotional day full of smiles, laughs and tears. Each moment was a pearl on a string, one more beautiful and perfect than the next. It’s a day I will not soon forget.

Mark and Sarah-Jayne, Thank you. SO MUCH. For everything. For the laughter and the friendship. Your wedding was awesome from head to toe and it was an absolute dream to document!

EDIT***

I have just finished making this slideshow.. enjoy watching!

Mark and Sarah Jayne – Wedding Teaser

This is one of my favorite photos from Mark and Sarah Jayne’s wedding.. and I have a LOT of them.
How can I not? This wedding was oozing with L.O.V.E and everything was simply gorgeous, I can not wait to show you the rest!

26 on the 26th

“Today it is her birthday, a very special day, today she is queen for the day, whatever she says goes.”

Candy always says that she’s always behind the camera and she never sees herself in photos.

Well, I couldn’t have picked a better day to shed the day job and jump behind the lens and grant her that wish! The sun was shining, there was a gentle breeze, summer just around the corner, Candy wearing her new summer fragrance *ahem from me ahem*

It’s always a challenge photographing a photographer *insert rolling eyes emoticon here* but I think I managed to bring out the beauty of this girl who rocks my world.

This is the most fun we’ve had waiting for the bus to show up ever!

Happy Birthday Candy, you’re awesome and I love you so much!

Music & Photographs

Music has always played a huge role in my life. Growing up, I was either a member of a choir, singing in a band or dancing. I would’ve loved to learn how to play a musical instrument, but I was just too impatient. I had piano lessons for a year and all I learned to play is a basic version of  “Ode to joy”. Then I thought maybe learning to play the guitar would be easier.. man was I wrong! After a few months of self teaching and calluses on my left index and middle finger, I gave up.

It’s always been a source of inspiration too. When I’m blogging or editing, the right song sets the mood. I don’t have a favourite band or singer nor do I have a preferred music genre. If I like a song I will listen to it regardless who the artist is. And I will listen to it a million and one times until I can’t anymore.

When I make slideshows, it’s not just picking a song from my playlist and pasting the photos in the programme. It’s about finding the perfect song for the couples in the photographs and taking me back to that frozen moment in time and feeling their happiness and joy all over again.

These slideshows are from the 2 latest weddings that we covered. Enjoy watching and happy Friday!

Trevor & Nikki {Wedding} – Old St. Paul’s, Wellington / Angus Inn

Trevor makes Nikki laugh. A LOT. And you just can’t help but laugh and smile with them because their happiness is just so contagious. Together they make the perfect couple. They’re the kind of people who make you want to fall in love. I know it sounds cliché, but they complete each other and I can’t imagine them being apart.

On our way to the church, it started pouring, but even that didn’t wipe the smile off Nikki’s face. It was a short and sweet ceremony and Old St. Paul’s Cathedral looked gorgeous as usual.

Nikki was the true definition of a glowing bride and you can’t even tell that she was 14 weeks pregnant at the time! Amazing!

Here are some detail shots from the reception. Nikki and her Mum set up the venue the day before and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The brown and white damask table runners and the centerpieces were absolutely beautiful! The cake topper was my favorite, which was given by Nikki’s sister who lives in Ireland.

I also had the opportunity to work with the talented Alan Raga, here are some of the photos he took on the day.

Trevor and Nikki, thank you isn’t enough. Your wedding was a true reflection of your happiness and love for each other and we feel very lucky to have been given the chance to tell your story through our lenses. Congratulations again on everything, especially on your new bundle of joy!
